    A correction of the BDO report is possible and, in practice, often necessary when, after sending the annual report, the entrepreneur notices an error in the data, waste weights, codes, recovery levels or other information shown in the system. The most important answer is that the correction is created directly in BDO, from the list of reports, by selecting the option „Create correction”. The official instructions show that when this function is activated, the system generates a duplicate of the original report, gives it a new business number and a status of „Working”, so that the user can edit the document and resubmit it.

    The biggest problem entrepreneurs have with the application module in BDO is not logging into the system itself, but choosing the right form. In practice, very often companies already know that they have to „report something” in BDO, but they are not sure whether it is a new entry, an update of data or a complete deletion from the register. Official BDO sources separate these situations very clearly: for a new obligation there is a registration application, for a change of data there is an update application, and for a permanent termination of the activity covered by the entry there is a deletion application.

At the same time, the official explanations of the BDO emphasise that an installation does not include means of transport, mobile technical facilities whose nature is to change location, or the building itself, unless there is a stationary technical facility that constitutes an installation.

    Entry in the BDO is one of those obligations that companies most often put off because they mistakenly assume that it only applies to large industrial plants or waste collectors. In practice, the catalogue of entities covered by the register is much broader. Not only waste entrepreneurs, but also companies introducing packaged products, oils, tyres, batteries, electrical and electronic equipment, as well as some shops and wholesalers offering plastic bags covered by the recycling fee enter the BDO.
