  • BDO transport companies

For transport companies, the most important rule is simple: BDO does not apply to every transport company, but it does apply to waste transporters. This means that if an operator is only involved in the transport of ordinary goods, consignments or non-waste cargo, the mere fact of operating a transport company does not automatically create an obligation to register with BDO. However, if the activity includes the transport of waste, the obligation to register arises and should be fulfilled before the start of such activity.

  • Code ex BDO

The ex code in the BDO is not a separate, new waste code, but a designation used for those items in the waste catalogue where a provision narrows the scope of a particular waste type. The official explanatory note to the regulations makes it clear that the prefixing of a waste code with „ex” means that such a code covers only the types of waste specified in column two of the table.

  • Section XII BDO

The phrase „BDO Division XII” can sometimes be confusing, as it appears in two different contexts in the official materials of the system. In waste generation and waste management reporting, Division XII stands for „Information on waste collected”, while in the registration module, Division XII refers to a waste generator obliged to keep waste records that is not subject to the obligation to obtain a waste generation permit or an integrated permit.

  • KOBiZE report - who must submit it, by when and how to prepare it without errors?

The KOBiZE report is one of those environmental obligations that businesses most often downplay until the end of February approaches. In practice, many companies still erroneously assume that the report to the National Database only concerns large industrial plants. Meanwhile, the obligation may also cover small and medium-sized companies if their activities cause emissions into the air.

  • Deletion from BDO

Deletion from the BDO is necessary when a trader permanently ceases to carry out an activity requiring registration, not when it only changes part of its activity or limits its scope. This is the most important information for companies that want to sort out their status in BDO without making a formal mistake.

  • BDO contact - where to look for help, when to call and with whom will you deal with a particular issue?

In practice, the biggest problem for entrepreneurs is not that BDO has no contact, but that they do not know who to turn to with a particular issue. Some call the helpline to ask about verification of the report, others seek technical assistance from the marshal's office, and still others do not know that, in addition to the telephone, there is also a chat and a contact form.
