Closed loop economy

In a world where sustainability and environmental protection are becoming increasingly important, the concept of a circular economy, or GOZ, is becoming indispensable. But what is GOZ? The definition is simple - it is a system in which resources are kept in the economy for as long as possible and waste and by-products are minimised through reuse and recycling.

EkoPro Group offers comprehensive environmental services, including our specialised GOZ package. What is it and what does it consist of? Our experience and knowledge of environmental legislation makes it possible to clarify all misunderstood concepts and to help our customers make the transition to a closed-loop economy. This decision has many benefits - allows them, above all, to create resilient and responsible businesses, that benefit both the company and the environment.

For the EU GOZ Package adopted by Poland, our State has committed to recycle at least 55 % of municipal waste from households and businesses by 2025. By 2030, this target will increase to 60 % and by 2035 to 65 %. By 2025, 65 % of packaging waste will need to be recycled and by 2030, 70 %. Separate targets have been set for specific packaging materials, such as paper and cardboard, plastics, glass, metal and wood.

Storage of waste

The new regulations also set landfill limits for municipal waste to a maximum of 10%, by 2035. By 2025, EU countries will introduce separate collection of textiles and household hazardous waste. And by 2024, biodegradable waste will be separately collected or composted.

Reducing food waste

Member States should also aim to reduce food waste by 30% by 2025 and 50% by 2030.To achieve these targets , Member States should introduce incentives for the use of unsold food products and their safe redistribution.By 2025, at least 55% of municipal waste (from households and businesses) should be recycled. This target will increase to 60 per cent by 2030 and 65 per cent by 2035. Of the current 44 per cent of packaging materials, by 2025. 60 per cent will have to be recycled by 2025 and 70 per cent by 2030.
