STATE WATER MANAGEMENT POLAND WATERS (PGW WP)

The water services division deals with all matters related to water users, primarily the issuing of water consents, the calculation of water service charges, the control of water management, cooperation with various water users, such as inland navigation, energy, industry, tourism and recreation. The Water Environment Management Division deals with matters related primarily to the implementation of EU directives, such as the so-called Water Framework Directive, the Marine Waters Protection Directive, the Urban Waste Water Treatment Directive or the Nitrates Directive. In addition, the division deals with matters related to protected areas such as NATURA 2000. The Water Management Information System is also managed in this division.
